The Sarasota County Democratic Party stands with our Democratic leaders in Tallahassee & Washington D.C. and all Democratic-minded voters, in opposition to the unlawful and unconstitutional actions of the Trump White House over the past two weeks. Frivolous and unenforceable Executive Orders, directing an un-vetted billionaire to set up an extra-legal Department of Government Efficiency to conduct unauthorized raids on government offices, nominating candidates with little to no qualifications for many of the highest positions in the land and moving to blanket fire government employees without due process are just some of the few republic-destroying actions, not to mention decisions that affect our economy and foreign relations that will truly destroy the US’s position as the top economy and world leader.
Every US citizen has representation in Washington DC. We support an ALL HANDS ON DECK effort for every single voter in Sarasota County to contact their elected Senators and Representative in Washington DC to demand their elected officials uphold their oath of office:
