Kale Announces Campaign Move to Florida's18th Congressional District

"I chose the overturning of Roe v. Wade as my number one priority and example because it demonstrates that even a right that was constitutionally guaranteed for 49 years could be stripped from us by a Supreme Court appointed by extreme right MAGA Republicans that currently occupy almost half of the current 51-49 U.S. Senate," said Kale.

Under the current rule of the Senate changed by former Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, they only need 51 votes to appoint justices. The filibuster rule, requiring 60 votes to pass legislation, still applies to all other legislation voted on by the Senate. The Senate filibuster rule is not in the Constitution.

With a strong personal connection to the cause, Kale is dedicated to advocating for Reproductive Rights. "I am a mother, a stepmother, and a grandmother of six, all ranging in age from two to 10 years. I want my children, grandchildren, you, and your loved ones to have the same rights and freedoms I had most of my adult life," she emphasized.

Kale's approach to addressing issues related to Reproductive Rights involves actively engaging with constituents in Florida's 18th Congressional District. "I will be the U.S. Representative that responds to your concerns and priorities, the one who understands what keeps you awake at night or wakes you up way too early," Kale stated.

As for the representation of issues in Florida's 18th Congressional District, Kale strongly supports all legislation that protects fundamental rights. "They are my priority," she affirmed.

"Elect me as a critical thinker, problem solver, and most of all, a truth teller. I will always work across the aisle, keep you informed about where your tax dollars are going, and be available to listen to your issues regardless of party," Kale promised. The truth is our democracy and our fundamental freedoms are being ripped away by extreme right wing MAGA Republicans.  We can no longer allow the minority to rule the majority in this country or our government.  With your support, we can safeguard our democracy, protect our rights, and build a brighter future for all," Kale emphasized.
